Dentistry

Picture
Clean teeth and healthy gums are just as important to your pet as they are to you. Imagine how your mouth would feel if you never brushed your teeth or visited the dentist! Unfortunately, for many companion animals, this is a sad and painful reality.
Without regular dental care, your pet could experience everything from bad breath and tooth loss to much more serious medical conditions, such as dental disease, which can spread infection throughout the entire body and even shorten your companion's life. The good news is this can all be prevented with ongoing dental care.
The team at Sudbury Animal Hospital is experienced in delivering both routine preventative and advanced dental care. From annual cleanings and tooth polishing to extractions and minor surgery, as needed, we're prepared to do whatever it takes to help your four-legged friend achieve a lifetime of healthy smiles. Our hospital features a well-stocked dental suite which is outfitted with the most modern tools and equipment to help us stay on top of your pet's oral health.
In addition to our professional pet dentistry services, we'll also work with you to show you ways to help your pet maintain healthy teeth and gums year-round, in between vet visits. Annual exams and cleanings aren't enough to keep all plaque and tartar buildup away, so it's important that you also do your part in caring for your pet's teeth. We'll be happy to show you a demonstration of the proper way to brush your pet's teeth, and provide advice and recommendations on certain products you can use to promote good oral health.
If you want your pet to live a long, healthy life, don't neglect their dental care. Let's work together to help your pet enjoy a clean, healthy mouth for many years to come!
